I am one – just as you are one – and today I work and listen and I stand in the here and now. I listen to the beautiful dissonance that is this life unfinished while I rest in the mystery to come.
As I think about life I gaze at a single candle flame. It flickers and moves to invisible music. It burns bright and bold declaring itself to a darkened room. It is but one flame, yet it is noticed. It is only a single flame, yet it still gives warmth.
It is only one – yet it changes everything.
